Health: Tips for using three-dimensional glasses

Health: recommendations for the use of three-dimensional glasses
By circular dated 17 March 2010 the Ministry of Health offers some explanations about the correct use of 3D glasses for viewing motion pictures, in the light of what is expressed in About the Health Council. The Council, after stating that currently there are no medical contraindications to the use of these glasses, as long conditioned to moderate periods of viewing time, found that children in these glasses may provide disorders such as nausea, dizziness and headache, without, however, that will have irreversible damage or disease. These disorders are generally tied to the fact that in children smaller binocular vision is still present or not fully established, or because there may be defects of vision. In view of this, the Ministry of Health suggests that the public is provided adequate information, particularly on the following points: for children under six years of age the use of 3D glasses for viewing stereoscopic film shows is contraindicated, the use of the same eye in adults is limited in time, for a total period not exceeding that of a single show, including the interval.
